Who we are
Synchouse is run by CLVR Music Ltd (“Synchouse”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@synchouse.ai, or by replying to any email we have sent you.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, optional mobile number, the goals you choose and your plan and subscription status.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription; we never see or store your full card number.
- Your music and catalogue: tracks, artwork, metadata, split sheets and other documents you upload, and links you paste to import tracks (for example from DISCO or untitled).
- Your activity: what you pitch to, the team's decisions and notes, your replies, conversations with the team, and when a track was first listened to by the team.
- Profiles and links: your music profile, the streaming and social links you add, and, if you use the producer studio, your producer profile, preview packs and the contact requests you send or receive.
- Conversations with Muse: what you write to Muse and what it writes back, including drafts you review.
- Contacts and outreach: the industry contacts you look for, approve or unlock, the emails you approve and send through the platform, and whether they were delivered, opened or replied to.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, browser and device type, and IP address, collected through the analytics described under Cookies, and for security.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To provide the platform you signed up for (performance of our contract with you): running your account and subscription, storing your catalogue, matching opportunities, presenting your submissions, Muse, contacts and outreach you approve.
- To email you about your account (contract and legitimate interests): sign-in links, trial and billing notices, decisions on your pitches, and product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
- To improve and protect the platform (legitimate interests): understanding which features are used, fixing problems, and preventing abuse and fraud.
- To meet legal obligations (legal obligation): for example keeping billing records for tax.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your music to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Who sees it
People you choose to share with. Music supervisors and brief owners see only the tracks you submit to their briefs. A producer you contact sees only what you write in your request. Artists can see a producer's profile and live packs.
Service providers who process data for us, under contracts that only let them use it to provide their service:
- Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database)
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (email delivery, including delivery and open tracking)
- Cloudinary (storing your audio, artwork and documents)
- Anthropic (the AI model behind Muse)
- Apollo, Exa, Firecrawl and Apify (finding industry contacts and reading public web pages for opportunities and research)
- Twilio (text messages, if you give us a mobile number)
- Google Analytics and Vemetric (website analytics)
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer or successor of the Synchouse business.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When your account closes, your tracks and documents are deleted from live systems within 30 days, and the rest of your account data is deleted or anonymised within the same period. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires, normally six years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your data
- restrict or object to how we use it
- give you your data in a portable format
Email hello@synchouse.ai to make a request. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. An essential cookie keeps you signed in; the site cannot work without it. Google Analytics and Vemetric set analytics cookies or identifiers so we can see how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without analytics cookies.
Children
Synchouse is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to member data is limited to the people who need it, and sign-in uses one-time email links rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated. Our Terms and Conditions explain how the platform works.
